Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Measure and Instrument Development and Support (MIDS)
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has awarded C&T a contract to help CMS develop and implement clinical quality measures designed to assess and manage the quality of health care services at national, facility and community levels.
The Measure and Instrument Development and Support (MIDS) program aligns with CMS’ structured process, Measures Management System Blueprint, to create and maintain evidence-based measures.
The MIDS IDIQ contract has a five-year base term and five option years and covers measures program support, maintenance of evaluation instrument data systems, quality measures implementation and data collection vehicles.
Measure development and maintenance work under the IDIQ contract focuses on six quality priorities: safety; community health; caregiver- and individual-focused experience and outcomes; cost reduction and efficiency; care coordination; and clinical quality of care.
